Is the color change permanent?
No. The effect is reversible. Warmth shifts the color and cooling moves it back toward its base shade.
What triggers the color change?
The reactive pigment is designed to activate around body and skin temperature, roughly 30–37°C. Skin contact, breath and movement can trigger the reveal.
Why can the color stay lighter indoors?
If the fabric stays warm from your skin or the room around you, the lighter state can remain visible. Cooler air brings it back toward the base color.
How does the one-size fit work?
It is a stretchy one-size, unisex knit. The balaclava measures approximately 39 × 27 cm laid flat, but head shape and fit preference still vary.
How should I clean it?
Spot clean only with cold water and mild soap, then air dry. Avoid soaking, hot water, machine washing, ironing, tumble drying and prolonged direct sunlight.
Can washing damage the thermal effect?
Yes. High heat and aggressive washing can damage the reactive finish, which is why gentle spot cleaning is important.
